This app collects nothing, sends nothing and has no internet access.
The short version
Freight Calc is a calculator that runs entirely on your phone. It has no account, no sign in, no adverts, no analytics and no crash reporting. It does not request the Android internet permission, so it is technically unable to send anything off the device even if it wanted to.
What the app stores
To save you retyping, each calculator remembers the values you last entered in it:
- Carton dimensions, gross weight, quantity and the units you chose.
- The rule you selected, and any divisor or rounding you edited.
- The container you last compared against.
It also keeps a few settings of its own:
- Your theme choice: system, light or dark.
- Whether you have finished the first-run tour, and the last version you saw, so What's new shows once.
- A count of completed calculations, used only to decide when Google Play may offer its rating card.
This is held in the app's own private storage area on your device. It is not an account, it is not backed up to a server and no one else can read it. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app removes it permanently.
What the app does not do
- Personal data
- None is requested, entered or stored. There is no name, email, phone number or company field anywhere in the app.
- Location
- Not requested, not accessed.
- Contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone
- Not requested, not accessed.
- Device identifiers
- Not read, not stored, not transmitted.
- Third party code
- No advertising network, no analytics library, no crash reporter and no social login. The one Google library inside is Google Play In-App Review. After some use it may ask the Play Store app on your phone to show Google's own rating card, once. If you rate, your stars and words go to Google Play under Google's terms, the same as rating from the store page. This app never sees them and sends nothing itself.
- Tracking
- No cookies, no profiling, no data sale and no data sharing, because there is no data and no connection.
Permissions
The app declares no runtime permissions and no internet permission. If a future version ever needs one, that version will say so on this page before it is published, and the Play Store listing will show the change.
Children
The app is a work tool aimed at adults in freight and logistics. It is not directed at children. Since it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.
Your rights
Access, correction, export and deletion requests are normally answered by a developer who holds your data. No data about you leaves your phone, so there is nothing held here to give you or delete. You are in full control: clear the app's storage from Android Settings, Apps, Freight Calc, Storage, Clear data, or uninstall the app.
Changes to this policy
Any change is published on this page with a new "last updated" date. A change that affects what the app collects will also appear in the release notes for the version that introduces it.
